Terk and Diaka.
Do you ever find yourself not completing a project or drawing because you repeatedly forget that it exists? That kept happening with this one.

Guess who finally got theirself a Redbubble account and is living the dream of wantonly offering their art printed on ANYTHING?
Well okay mostly stickers (the original intent of the vegemals!) but you can get BUTTS on about 57 different varieties of shirt, throw pillows, tote bags, greeting cards… probably live goldfish if you find the right drop-down.

Anyway, yeah, considering buying things because I am trying to figure out where I live (nothing emergency, just stressful when I’m not burying myself in comic work) and one sticker pretty much buys me an ENTIRE bag of rice. We are living in the future.

Also let me know if any of the art looks like it needs editing, I tried to get the text placed right on the T-shirts and such but I am new to this. I don’t wanna sell you no misaligned butts.

Hey look everybody buy this stuff! The more you buy, the more Jey will make rice and I will eat all the extra! AND YOU GET A STICKER! It’s win/win for EVERYBODY!

This is extremely important and you and I should buy everything.

Reblog if you are female and play D&D/Pathfinder/Table Top Games

I want to see how many of you are out there and to show there are more of us than people think.

I even make a comic about it!

I rarely deviate from art while posting/reblogging and I’m sorry to any followers who are annoyed at the digression, but I am very vocal about the fact that tabletop gaming is one of my favorite hobbies, so… *waves fingers*

One of my first non-art related posts here, but I couldn’t resist. I started playing D&D when I was around 8 years old. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of creating, drawing, and playing my D&D characters.

Kai - Peacock. Sunbird army captain of the home guard. Kai was a successful and charismatic merchant in his teens and twenties, right up until he and his two brothers were captured and tortured by Midnighters. His brothers were slain during their imprisonment but Kai managed to slay both of his captors before they could kill him. Despite his blunt and generally unkind demeanor, Kai makes it a habit to help the poor and disadvantaged, especially women and children, whenever he can.
Meecha - Peahen. Kai’s mother. Happy, energetic and active.
Hakkan - Peacock. Meecha’s husband. Kai’s father. A popular artisan in the golden city.
Khatip - Barn swallow. Diaka’s brother. Sunbird army captain. He’s eager to prove his usefulness in battle.
Icala - Painted bunting. Astronomer. Wife to a sunbird nobleman, then wife to Alejandro. Friend to Cualli and future tutor to Anaca’s children. Icala has a sunny, sweet personality and lets very little get to her. She endeavors to treat everyone with kindness and respect.
Chimalmat - Flamingo. Zara and Micos’ mother. A bit meddling and a devoted fan of gossip. She loves her family dearly.
Tia - Whooping crane. Micos’ wife and Zara’s sister-in-law. Mother of Tien. She is soft-spoken and generally reserved. She loves to hear a good tale of romance.
Tien - Whooping crane. Son of Micos and Tia. Nephew to Zara. Loves and idolizes Tico like a big brother.
Karak - Golden eagle. Sunbird army general. His two wives are identical twins. No one knows how he can tell them apart, but he can, even when they purposefully try to fool him.
Diaka - Violet-eared hummingbird. Sister of Khatip. Maidservant to Ixchel, then to Anaca. Wife of Terk. She’s hardworking, upbeat and optimistic. She loves to party hard and gossip.
Eva - Himalayan monal. Daughter of Quaholom. Older sister to Terk and Cocha. Arrogant and confident. She’s a talented warrior. She started going crazy after she witnessed her father kill her mother. She blames Cocha for her mother’s death because Quaholom explained that he “had to do what he did” because of Cocha. Though they’ve driven Eva to do terrible things, she is only dimly aware of these memories.
Arez - Scarlet macaw. Ex-prostitute. One of Kai’s right hand men. He’s great at mimicking voices and playing a wide variety of instruments.

Cassini - Peregrine falcon. One of Kai’s right hand “men”. Cassi is an excellent warrior and one of the fastest flyers around. She grew up in the slums of the golden city, stealing just to survive. Kai found her and Arris and trained them to be useful to him, teaching them how to read, fight, and eventually fly when their flight feathers grew back.

Serec - Turkey vulture. Brother of Terec. A confident fellow who’s very open with his emotions. He taught Chincha how to fight and is one of his best friends.
Tafar - Black-breasted buzzard. Tafar is tall and incredibly well-built. Generally calm and serious, though he does show excitement around mealtime. He’s a warrior charged with keeping the people of Zara’s village safe and he takes his job very seriously, taking a genuine interest in the lives and wellbeing of his villagers. He is very protective of his sisters and has quietly punished those who have dared to insult them in the past.
Nafia - Black breasted buzzard. Tafar’s sister. One of Queen Anaca’s bodyguards. Nafia is tall and muscular and many men are either completely unattracted to her or intimidated by her. Nafia doesn’t let this get to her. She’s cheerful and kind and maintains a healthy interest in men. She loves to go out and have a good time and is often seen partying with her best friend and fellow guard, Reika.
Kiell - Great horned owl. Priestess. Deceased. Kiell is very serious and sometimes even dreary. She was the last sunbird priestess before Zara. She had her wings cut off and was hurled from a cliff, killed by her own people for speaking out against the exile of the blackbirds.
Reika - Swan. Bodyguard to Queen Anaca. She’s a former prostitute who landed in jail after beating up a nobleman who crippled her son to get back at her for refusing to be his wife. Kai, who was currently seeking recruits into the queen’s personal guard, found her in jail and had her set free and trained in combat.
Pahan - Swan. Reika’s son. His wings are crippled and he cannot fly. He is incredibly shy and withdrawn. He’s fearful of men.
